Ashford Visit – Shared Space, New Road and Empty Sites

A very quick photo’ diary of my visit to Ashford, Kent, yesterday.

A pocket park:

Development sites – empty for quite a few years. Come on, let’s have a temporary use strategy, such as landart:

New road, put in ahead of time to open up development sites. Note trees already planted to help set the tone of what is expected:

Converting offices to residential (note that Ashford has exemption from relaxation of planning regime for this, so consent was obtained as part of a local plan). This would have been improved with better windows:
