Do some High Streets lack ambition (part 3)?

My local Town Centre is about to begin work on a £3.5m ‘major rejuvenation’ scheme, mainly dealing with highways improvements, pavements and ‘shared space’.

You would have thought that such a major project, advertised as being of major importance would have a large public information board telling people about this exciting project – but no, it just issues a warning, hinting at disruption with no attempt to explain the benefits of the end result.

I think this is another example of a good intention being spoilt in its implementation due to lack of detailed thinking and a general lack of care.
